Are there any Labor Day weekend events?
2018 Labor Day Weekend Roanoke VA
Does it feel like summer is already slipping away when it only just began? It feels that way too. Which is why we looked for 2018 Labor Day weekend events happening here in the Roanoke VA area. We thought it might comfort you, too, to learn there are a variety of options to fill your last holiday before the season ends.
What to do on Labor Day
There are some obvious things you might consider doing, such as taking a boat out on the water, camping, grilling out or going to a farmer’s market. Here we are looking at special events you might now know are happening.
Labor Day with The Randolph Brothers
This musical event is more family-friendly than a street party. The Randolph Brothers will be playing at the Main Library Children’s Mezzanine on Sept. 1 from 12 to 2 p.m. In addition to live music there will be food and Italian ice.
Roanoke Labor Day Parade
Want to keep it simple? The Roanoke Labor Day Parade is taking place on Saturday, Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning on Campbell Ave. Anyone is welcome to enter and it looks like registration may still be open if you want to put together your own float and march.
Outdoor music festivals are always a favorite summer experience for us, but what will you miss most about summer? Share your thoughts with a comment here at the First Team Volkswagen Blog.
